Vietnam nowadays become a favorite destination for NZ tourists and investors. New Zealand passport holders are required valid visa for entering Vietnam.

There are 2 options to get Vietnam visa : 1/ Getting visa at embassy of Vietnam in Wellington – NZ. This is a traditional way but most people do to get a visa for Vietnam. However, it is not a good choice for NZ citizens living far from location of Vietnam embassy in Wellington – NZ. You need to visit and queue at embassy location at least 2 times or send off your passport to embassy address if you need to get visa at embassy of Vietnam in Wellington – NZ. 2/ You can apply online to get visa on arrival Vietnam at international airports if you found getting visa at embassy is not convenience for your case. Visa on arrival Vietnam is legitimated and approved by Vietnam Immigration Department.

In order to get visa on arrival, NZ citizens are required to fill online form through an agent in Vietnam to get approval letter from Vietnam Immigration Department. The visa agent will take care all procedure and requirements from Vietnam Immigration Department on you behalf and you just pay them a small amount called service fee to arrange approval letter for picking visa on arrival at Vietnam international airports. Normally, it takes 24 – 48 hours after the payment to get approval letter for your visa through visa agent. After getting the approval letter via email, you need to print out the approval letter to show for boarding and show at land visa office (visa on arrival office) at the airports of Vietnam, in front of immigration line, to get visa stamped on your passport, you have to pay for stamp fee when get visa there. It’s $45USD/pp for single entry visa 1 month or 3 month; $65USD/pp for less than 1 month multiple entry visa; $95USD/pp for full one month multiple entry visa; $95USD/pp for 3 month multiple entry visa; $135USD/pp for 6 month multiple entry visa.
